Making this trailer was a very fun adventure. It gave me a tiny window into the world of film, which is polar opposite to the solitary world of writing.
As a writer, when I want a character to do something, I just write…and they do it. But if I want someone tied up on film…well, I actually have to go and ask some unsuspecting friend if I can…uh…tie her up…on film? That’s a stretch for a writer, believe me!
I’d like to thank these wonderful people for making this trailer happen:
Miriam Needoba, filmmaker extraordinaire, and her production company Small Town Films. (Web link coming soon!) It is truly inspiring to see Miriam at work – she is so energetic and fun and boy oh boy does she ever know what she is doing.
Nelson Brewing Company – the wonderful owners and the amazing staff who let us have the run of their cellars and bottle line not once, not twice but three whole times until we got all the footage we needed.
These folks love beer and they make a great product. I’d like to say a special thanks to the employee who was whistling while he worked…that was just perfect!
Thanks to Mark Stevens of SOHO Communications for lending his voice to the start. Thanks as well to photographer Natalie Santano for the opening photo.
And a special thanks to my friend who did not bat an eye when I asked if we could tie her up. She was a great sport, and what an actress!
