Before I read to an audience from Confined Space, I usually spend a minute explaining what a bottle washer looks like, and just how big these machines are. If you’ve read the book, you’ll know why. If you haven’t read it yet, you can get a taste of where the bottle washer comes in by reading this excerpt.

I hope the descriptions in the book really create the sense of a bottle washer in all its big, loud, steamy and smelly glory. But, just in case, I have found this very cool video of a bottle washer in action. All that’s missing is the smell. Oh, and the dead body.
